The Donkey Lady Bridge in San Antonio TX

The Donkey Lady Bridge in San Antonio, Texas is a popular spot for urban legends. The Donkey Lady, also known as La Llorona, is said to haunt the bridge.

There are many different versions of the legend, but the basic story goes that a woman named Maria was married to an abusive man. One day, she snapped and killed her two kids before setting fire to her house. When she realized what she had done, she threw herself off the bridge in despair.

Now, her spirit is said to roam the bridge, looking for her lost children. She is often seen wearing a white dress and veil and sometimes is heard crying or wailing. If you’re unlucky enough to cross her path, she is said to grab you and drag you down to the depths of the river below.
