The Aquarian Tabernacle Church (ATC) has announced the creation of a new non-profit organization called the Accreditation Program of Wicca (APW).
The APW aims to create a network of recognized Wiccan training programs known for high standards.
The APW will review and accredit Wiccan educational programs, including covens, organizations offering certificates, and those offering courses or degrees.

The program will be led by experienced Wiccans, including Rt. Reverend Kara D. Williams, who will act as Executive Director.
The program is targeted at seminary-level programs, but also includes the coven and certificate levels.
The APW plans to apply to the Federal Department of Education for status as a recognized accreditation board.
Accreditation will provide educational legitimacy and create religious parity.
The APW acknowledges the challenges of accrediting a diverse religion that includes covens, solitaries, and different approaches to training, but notes that common elements remain.
The APW is inclusive and recognizes that different programs will have different needs.
