‘Sex demon’ forces owner of one of Britain’s most haunted buildings to move out
While living in a building with a reputation for being haunted has its difficulties, the owner of this particular structure was forced to leave as a direct result.
Caroline Humphries is the owner of Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire, but she plans to sell it due to a potential sex demon haunting the property.
The owner says that multiple guests have claimed that they were assaulted by an unknown entity while in the building.
She recalls a moment with her late father John, who had various encounters with ghosts.
Humphries has had major success in recent years after appearing on Britain’s Most Haunted in 2005. However, she has now decided that enough is enough.
She said: “The sex demon has driven me out of my home – there’s nothing will get me back there now.
“My dad constantly complained about the sex demon that touched his legs and pressed upon his body when he didn’t want it to happen.
“It always happened when he was lying down trying to get some rest.
“Once, the bed started to vibrate. He passed out and when he came to, his arms were above his head.
There was pressure all over his body and something was feeling his groin.
“He could not move or speak and when it released him, he couldn’t stop shaking. He left the room and went downstairs utterly exhausted and unable to sleep for many nights.”
At first, it seemed like only her father had experienced these issues, but soon enough customers began to speak up too.
She continued: “Now we’ve started to have other guests tell me they’ve had the same thing happen to them.
“I have not experienced it myself, but I don’t want to be next.”
Humphries has lived in the haunted establishment since 2001, and she’s seen a lot of paranormal activity during that time. For example, once she saw her cabinet tumbling down the stairs without anyone pushing it, and another time she saw pictures falling off the wall with no one near them.
She concluded: “I have no doubt that the Ancient Ram Inn is haunted, and I don’t feel guilty about saying it is or for selling tickets for paranormal events.
“I have seen it, I have felt it and I know it exists.”
Not just featured on Most Haunted, the Inn has also been included in other TV shows such as Ghost Adventures and Great British Ghosts.
However, The Ghost Club investigated the Inn in 2003 and didn’t register anything paranormal.
