Rachel Parsons, Managing Director of Retford Ghost Hunters, and her devoted team of investigators recently stumbled upon what they believe to be their greatest discovery yet while exploring an abandoned mill near Stoke-on-Trent in the UK.
On Monday, January 30th, the paranormal detectives made a unique attempt to replicate an archaic parlor trick. They shined lasers in the shadows while investigator Gary Brumby dispelled vape smoke into the space.
Ms. Parsons said: “It created this spooky atmosphere, and then we asked the spirit to enter and to use the smoke to form. “But what we captured wasn’t in the smoke, it was just there.”
An observant Carolyn Hill from North Carolina clearly witnessed and captured a screenshot of the spectral face when she watched the live-streamed event.

As Mr. Brumby began to fill the room with thick vapor, a fellow investigator called out for one of the spirits by their name. Ms. Parsons continued her story: Chris requested that one of the brothers who managed the mill appear after he counted up to three.
“He counted to three and then this face started to form.” She added: “I really do think this is some of the best evidence we’ve got.
“And we caught it using something so simple and old-school. We spent hundreds of pounds on all of this equipment, but when we use just a simple vape and a laser, we get this.
“We call it ‘raw ghost-hunting. It’s nice to listen and see what you feel.”
With 800 live viewers on an average day and more than 10,000 views per video, the team has become one of the UK’s most sought-after ghost-hunting groups. Their growing fanbase can’t get enough of their paranormal adventures! She added: “It puts Retford on the map, doesn’t it?”
Even though Ms. Parsons was wary of divulging the precise location of the mill, in order to avert any potential vandals, she disclosed that she had conducted a thorough investigation beforehand and believed it could be as ancient as 1400s!
She reported an unfathomable inferno at the mill in 1890, which required three days to extinguish and damaged one nearby residence. Fortunately, it appears that no injuries were inflicted due to this incident.
