A family from Ashland Township, Michigan is seeking help from the community to find an alien statue that was stolen from their home.
The statue was a gift to the family’s 102-year-old mother-in-law, Freda, who has Alzheimer’s.
The family purchased the statue while out of town and brought it home as a present for Mother’s Day.
The statue has been sitting outside the family’s home for the past six years, and Freda had built a special bond with the extraterrestrial figure.
She would wave to it every day when she had her morning coffee and breakfast, and it brought her a lot of joy.
The statue was taken from the family’s property sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. The family is heartbroken and wants the statue returned.
They have considered buying another statue, but they cannot find one with the unique waving stance that the stolen statue had.
They do not want to press charges against whoever took the statue, they just want it back.
The family is asking for the community’s help in locating the stolen statue so that Freda can have it back and continue to enjoy its company.
They believe that the statue is only fun when the whole community can enjoy it, and they hope that whoever took it will return it.
