The Rhode Island farmhouse that inspired the 2013 horror film “The Conjuring” will be the site of a spine-tingling New Year’s Eve paranormal investigation event, hosted by Monique Toosoon and author Sam Baltrusis. Attendees will get hands-on with ghost hunting equipment to search for spirits on the property, rumored to be haunted by a 19th century resident.
The home, purchased in 2022 by a developer with interest in the paranormal, has hosted similar events since then. The NYE event includes a midnight champagne toast and overnight “ghamping” option. Tickets are $250 each for the limited 18 spots.
This event comes on the heels of a recent fire in the house’s barn. The blaze was non-supernatural in origin per the owner, and the barn still stands. So ghosts or no ghosts, this conjuring house is conjuring up festivities to ring in the new year.
