Paige Daley has taken over as the new registrar of the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register from her father, Gary Campbell, who held the position for 28 years. The 29-year-old nurse from England grew up fascinated by the legend of the Loch Ness Monster. Although she has yet to spot Nessie herself, she heads up the register which catalogs over 1,155 alleged sightings.
As registrar, Ms. Daley is dedicated to maintaining the credibility of the register by carefully evaluating new sighting claims and dismissing obvious hoaxes. She also aims to bring news of Nessie to a younger generation through her popular TikTok channel. Earlier this year, Ms. Daley even led an expedition at Loch Ness which found a cave system that could potentially serve as shelter for the elusive creature.
While the Loch Ness Monster remains an enduring mystery, Ms. Daley firmly believes there is something unexplained lurking in the famous Scottish loch. She hopes that in the next year or two, she may finally have her own first-hand Nessie sighting to log in the register she now oversees.
