Russia claims to have shot down a ‘UFO’ over Rostov Oblast
The governor of the region proclaimed that local forces had successfully taken out a strange, round object from the sky.

On the 3rd of January, rumors began to circulate that Russian forces operating in Sultan Sala had shot down an unknown object above Rostov Oblast’s Myasnikovsky district.
According to governor Vasily Golubev, the “small-size object in the shape of a ball” had been spotted flying “in the wind” and the decision had been made to “liquidate it”.
“I urge everyone to remain calm,” he was quoted as saying.
“To ensure security, all forces and means are involved. The sky is covered with anti-aircraft defenses.”
To further perplex the situation, a purported video of the occurrence has also come to light, depicting an unidentified entity bursting in the night sky after being struck by what appears to be a missile.
