A man in Guangxi province, China was found alive after being buried in his own grave.
The incident left the village in disbelief as the couple was reunited.
The wife heard her husband’s voice from underground and with the help of her neighbors, they quickly dug him up.
The wife was completing the funeral ceremony when she heard strange sounds coming from underground.
She pressed her ear to the ground, called out her husband’s name, and heard him respond.
Neighbors sprinted to the gravesite to help dig the man up.
To her shock and relief, the husband was still alive.
The husband and wife were from financially struggling families, and he had a serious illness.
The husband’s mother had found him unresponsive on his bed, and he was declared dead.
The man’s revival was subsequently investigated, and it transpired that he had been afflicted with severe diabetes.
His sudden awakening in the coffin was likely due to a sharp lack of oxygen.
The hospital covered the cost of the husband’s treatment entirely, and the recovery of the husband and the outstanding support of the community stand testament to the importance of unity and sheer human determination.
