Alan Hamel, the widower of beloved actress Suzanne Somers, believes his late wife’s spirit remains very much present in the couple’s Palm Springs home since her passing last October.
In an exclusive interview, Hamel recounted bizarre occurrences that have convinced him Somers’ soul carries an energy that lives on. “Three strange things happened the same day,” Hamel said. First, a hummingbird inexplicably flew inside and hovered around a photo of the happily married couple of nearly 50 years. Next, the fireplace switched on by itself, followed by obscure music beloved by Somers playing with no source.
That’s not all – when Hamel lies down alone at night, he feels Somers right there beside him. “I feel her presence,” he stated. Several family members have reported similar sensations.
While alive, Somers had jokingly told Hamel that if one of them passed, she’d likely come back quickly given his older age. Now the “Three’s Company” icon seems to be making good, easing her devoted husband’s grief with signs and visitations.
“I’m a believer now that there is an afterlife,” declared Hamel. “I think there’s a plane somewhere after we discard our bodies where our soul goes, and I hope to reunite with Suzanne there.”
Once skeptical, the bizarre events have convinced this bereaved widower. “It certainly makes the grieving process easier,” Hamel said, sensing Suzanne’s energetic, fun-loving spirit cheering him daily amidst the loss.
While just a conjecture for some, for Alan Hamel, keeping his beloved wife so vibrantly near is a comforting reality.
