A mysterious video has captured the attention of social media users in Mexico. Recently, a security guard at the Plaza San Diego shopping center in San Pedro Cholula recorded footage of what appears to be the ghost of a young boy.
The video, which was posted on the shopping center’s official TikTok account, shows a shadowy figure the size of a child standing between the railings of the playground area late at night. The guard was making his usual rounds when his phone camera picked up the strange sight.
The clip quickly went viral, sparking speculation among viewers. Some believe it shows definitive proof of paranormal activity, while others claim it’s simply a marketing strategy by Plaza San Diego to promote their upcoming Halloween events.
At a press conference on October 3rd announcing their 2023 costume contest “Mictlán, the kingdom of souls,” local media questioned mall management about the ghost boy video. Marketing manager Eunice de Dios insisted the footage is 100% real.
She explained that they initially thought a child had become lost in the closed play area at night. However, upon further investigation, staff confirmed the video was captured after hours when the entire shopping center was shut down.
Plaza San Diego administration is still looking into the eerie occurrence and consulting with employees. But so far, the security guard’s chilling footage remains the sole evidence of the alleged ghost boy caught on camera.
