For the third year in a row, guests on a ghost tour captured mysterious shadowy figures on their phones during a stop at Archer Woods Cemetery near Chicago. The figures appeared near the cemetery gate, just like in previous years.
The photos were taken Saturday night during a haunted tour hosted by Graveside Paranormal. Tour guests are encouraged to take photos and videos to try to capture paranormal activity.
Paranormal investigator Neal Gibbons said tour guests texted him the photos showing the shadowy figures. Some believe the figures could be the phantom known as “The Weeping Lady of Archer Woods Cemetery.” According to local legend, the ghost of a weeping woman haunts the cemetery gate, mourning a lost lover or child.
“People have heard the lady weeping as they exit the gates of the cemetery or see mist,” Gibbons said.
Gibbons increased the brightness in one photo to reveal a translucent, shadowy figure that can be seen through the gate’s bars. In another set of photos, what looks like half a shadowy person stands to the left of the tour group by the fence.
Gibbons will discuss his paranormal experiences this week on WGN Radio and METV.
