A listing for a historic funeral home in Millsbury, Massachusetts, has garnered significant attention due to a peculiar sign posted outside the property, suggesting that it might be “probably haunted.”
Ericka Kristal Eucker, the listing agent responsible for the eye-catching sign, recently placed it outside the Turgeon Funeral Home, which is currently on the market for a price of $769,000. Speaking to WCVB-TV, Eucker explained, “It’s been standing for many years and certainly has some history to go with it. I’m not sure if it truly is haunted, but given its age, I suppose it’s a possibility.”
The Turgeon Funeral Home has a rich history, originally built as a single-family residence in the year 1850. However, it underwent a transformation in 1948, when it was converted into a funeral home. According to the property’s listing, it also presents the intriguing prospect of being “easily converted back into a single-family home.”
Intriguingly, the building boasts three bedrooms and five bathrooms, making it a unique and spacious dwelling. It has remained under the ownership of the same family since the 1940s, adding to its historical allure.
While the sign’s proclamation of potential haunting has sparked curiosity and speculation, whether it truly harbors supernatural phenomena remains a matter of conjecture. Nevertheless, the combination of its historical legacy and the enigmatic sign has certainly added an element of mystique to this Massachusetts funeral home’s sale listing.
