A government contractor named Eric Taber has come forward claiming that in the 1980s, an egg-shaped metallic UFO was stored and studied at the mysterious Area 51 base in Nevada.
Taber revealed to the DailyMail that his late great uncle, Sam Urquhart, worked at Area 51 for 17 years as an engineer and head of security. Urquhart told Taber that in the 1980s, the CIA brought a strange egg-shaped craft to Area 51 that they claimed to have found intact in the desert.
Engineers at Area 51 tried extensively to get inside the seamless metallic craft and figure out its power source, but were completely stymied. They determined the material was not made on Earth. Ultimately the object was shipped to another base, possibly White Sands.
Urquhart also claimed to have seen a clear photo of the same craft hung on the wall inside a secure Area 51 vault room. Taber reported his uncle’s story to the Pentagon’s new UFO investigation office, saying he believes the government has been hiding the truth about UFOs and wants limited disclosure.
The story adds to the lore about alleged extraterrestrial technology being secretly held and studied within government black sites like Area 51. However, it remains an unverified claim from a now-deceased thirdhand witness.
