Kurzweil has made several predictions about the future of technology in the past, including the rise of smartphones and the ability of computers to beat humans in chess.
In a recent podcast with fellow computer scientist Lex Fridman, Kurzweil explained his views on immortality.
He believes that nanobots in our blood could keep us healthy and that we will also be able to upload our memories and thoughts into the cloud to keep them forever.
According to Kurzweil, “we will be able to advance human life expectancy by more than a year every year and I think we can get there by the end of this decade.”
While Kurzweil’s predictions about immortality are exciting, it’s important to note that they are still theoretical and there are many ethical and societal implications to consider.
